As it has now become a tradition, the Hungarian Permanent Mission participated in this year's Charity Bazaar organized by the UN Women's Guild. The Permanent Mission hosted two stalls where visitors could sample Hungarian delicasies and purchase souvenires. Proceeds from the sale were donated to charity.

Dr. Előd Both, director of the Hungarian Space Office was elected as chair of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee of the Committee for the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space. Dr. Both will chair the subcommittee until 2015. To commemorate this event, the Permanent Mission held a reception at its premises, with special guest of honour Mr. Bertalan Farkas, the first Hungarian astronaut.
The United Nation Information Service (UNIS) held an exhibition to mark the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust. Ambassador Csuday delivered a statement at the event.
The Permanent Mission of Hungary organized a panel discussion about the nexus between water and energy on June 18th 2013. The seminar focused on linkages between energy and water.
The speakers included Kandeh Yumkella, Director General of UNIDO, Professor András Szöllösi-Nagy, rector of the UNESCO Institute of Water and Mr. Gábor Baranyai, deputy state secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Representatives from Thailand, South Africa, China, Russia, Turkey, Libya, Turkey and Slovakia visited the National Radioactive Waste Repository in Bátaapáti, and the Paks Nuclear Power Plant.
