This special exhibition plays a key role at the location and during the period of Art Market Budapest 2012, which is based on the “Waldsee 1944” program of Budapest’s 2B Gallery. New York’s Hebrew Union College Museum, the Alma on Dobbin Foundation (New York) and the Donauschwäbisches Zentralmuseum (Ulm) have collaborated in the realization of the exhibition. The organizers have built the program with the active contributions of artists. The point of departure was provided by the postcards sent from Auschwitz, and preserved at the Hungarian Jewish Archives: prior to their deaths, the guards made the Jewish prisoners taken to Auschwitz write postcards, in which they related to their relatives their fortunate arrival and ideal conditions of a resort.

The exhibition is open to public until 31 January 2013 on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 am until 1 pm.
