Switzerland hosted the tenth Annual NATO Conference on WMD Arms Control, Disarmament and Non-proliferation in Interlaken, Switzerland, from 23 to 24 June 2014.
The Conference wass opened by the President of the Swiss Confederation, HE Mr. Didier Burkhalter as well as by the NATO Deputy Secretary General, HE Alexander Vershbow, and HE Mr Ahmet Üzümcü, Director-General of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), which received the Nobel Peace Prize for 2013.
