Vienna, the capital of Austria is already dressed in full splendor. The famous Advent fairs, where more and more Hungarian families pay a visit, have already opened. There is however, another Advent event in December, the International Charity Fair and Festival, organized by the United Nations Women’s Guild.

This organization has been operating since 1967 and has now 500 members from almost a hundred countries of the world. Its members are the women members of the diplomatic bodies working besides the Viennese international organizations. The participating countries display and off erfor sale their national foods and products to promote their national values and culture.

This year at the festival, organized for the 45th time, the United Nations Women’s Guild will use the revenue of the festival to sponsor its project helping children in need.

The enthusiastic colleagues of the Viennese Hungarian UN office and Mrs Ildiko Csuday-Vanek, the wife of the ambassador, Balázs Csuday, have for months been organizing the Hungarian stand, just like a year ago. Mrs Ildikó Csuday-Vanek says, that ’It is a real honor to represent Hungary at this event and to take part in the promotion and distribution of the premium-value-Hungarian products in an international setting. It feels good to help several thousands of children all over the world with that and to improve to some extent their conditions and health each year. In these hard days with so many problems it gives particular pleasure to know that so many kind-hearted, helpful and charitable people surround us and help our work.’
