Visit for Vienna based diplomats to the Hungarian Nuclear Power Plant in Paks

The Hungarian Mission to the UN organized a trip to diplomats between the 20th and 21st of April to the Nuclear Power Plant located in Paks, Central Hungary.

During the first day of the visit the group also had the chance to see the Radioactive Waste Repository in Bátaapáti. At the Nuclear Power Plant the guests toured the Vistor’s Centre, the Reactor Building and the Turbine Hall. The diplomats also visited the highly sophisticated maintenance training center which has real equipment where nuclear experts can be trained without the risk of radiation.
