OSCE Conference on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings (11-12 April 2016)

Preventing the exploitation of human trafficking victims through forced criminality was the focus of the 2016 Alliance against Trafficking in Persons conference.

The ongoing migration crisis has pushed the issue of human trafficking to the top of the agenda for the OSCE. Unaccompanied migrant children are especially vulnerable as potential victims of traffickers.

Preventing the exploitation of human trafficking victims through forced criminality was the focus of the 2016 Alliance against Trafficking in Persons conference. On the two-day forum leading experts from governmental as well as non-governmental organizations discussed how to tackle this complex form of abuse.

Hungary offered a contribution of 5000 EUR and experts to the project „Combating trafficking along migration routes” initiated by the Office of the Special Representative and Co-ordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings.
