Paks project not a business venture but an inter-governmental agreement

According to the Minister of State heading the Prime Minister’s Office, the Government will discuss the Russian-Hungarian agreement on maintaining the capacity of the Paks nuclear power plant next week. The intention is to keep it the cheapest source of electricity in the coming decades and to increase Hungary's energy independence.

Hungary Completes High Enriched Uranium Research Reactor Fuel Removal

Hungary just completed the transfer of its high enriched uranium (HEU) research reactor fuel to the Russian Federation, becoming the ninth nation to completely remove such fuel from its territory since the Tripartite (IAEA-US-Russian Federation) Initiative known as the Russian Research Reactor Fuel Return (RRRFR) programme which began in 2002.
