Hungary hands over EU Presidency to Poland

Concert and reception at the Hungarian Permanent Mission, as the Hungarian EU presidency comes to an end.

On 27 June 2011, the Hungarian bilateral embassy as well as the permanent representations of Hungary to the UN and to the OSCE in Vienna have organized a closing reception on the occasion of the end of the Hungarian EU Presidency. Before the reception a concert was given by the Kelemen String-Quartett from Budapest from works of Franz Liszt, Béla Bartók, Haydn and Beethoven.

The heads of the three missions have expressed their appreciation for the support of EU member states and for the hard work of the Hungarian EU Team that contributed to the success of our Presidency. Among the guests invited by the permanent representation to the UN were Tibor Tóth, Executive Secretary of the Preparatory Commission of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty Organization, Vilmos Cserveny, Assistant Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency and Sune Danielsson, Head of Secretariat of the Wassenaar Arrangement.
