The biannual Science and Technology conference organised by the CTBTO took place in Vienna, Austria 22-26 June, 2015 Hungrian participants included Dr István Bondár, senior scientist as well as Dr Katalin Gribovszki and Dr Márta Kiszely, researchers at the Research Centre for Astronomy and Earth Sciences of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
The biannual Science and Technology conference organised by the CTBTO took place in Vienna, Austria 22-26 June, 2015 with a record number of attendees and more than 500 oral and poster presentations. Dr István Bondár, senior scientist as well as Dr Katalin Gribovszki and Dr Márta Kiszely, researchers at the Research Centre for Astronomy and Earth Sciences of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences have attended the meeting. Dr Bondár presented a poster on the most recent developments of the location algorithm used at the International Seismological Centre, United Kingdom to produce the definitive bulletin of the seismicity of the Earth. He was also a co-author in Dr Jean Letort's (CEA DAM, France) oral presentation.
During the 26th General Assembly of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics June 22 - July 2, 2015 Prague, Dr Bondár was elected to be the Chair of the Working Group 4 (CTBTO Relations) of the International Federation of Digital Seismograph Networks, a global organisation representing seismic network operators and promoting data exchange.
