The Hague Code of Conduct began its plenary conference

Publicated on: June 2, 2011

The Hungarian delegation was led by Ambassador Dr. Balázs Csuday.

The overall atmosphere of the two day plenary session was better than last year. Although the difference of opinion between member states could not be overcome, the steps taken toward non-proliferation in the past year helped boos confidence and had a positive effect on the plenary session. In part this is thanks to the fact that in addition to the presidential summary, for the first time, signatory states also accepted a press statement, which meant to improve the HCoC public opinion. At the start of the conference South Korea was nominated as president for the next session, which the signatory states also decided to take place between 31 May and 1 June 2012
