More than 250 experts have gathered in Brussels on 4-5 September 2014 to discuss the spread of nuclear and other dangerous weapons.
In July 2010 the Council of the European Union decided to create a network bringing together foreign policy institutions and research centres from across the EU to encourage political and security-related dialogue and the long-term discussion of measures to combat the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and their delivery systems.
The third EU-Non Proliferation and Disarmament Conferece jointly hosted by the EU Non-Proliferation Consortium and the International Institute for Strategic Studies was hosted on 4 and 5 September 2014 in Brussels.

nd Mr. Jean du Preez of the CTBTO. The session moderated by Mr. Oliver Meier, Associate, International Security Division, German Institute for Internationaland Security Affairs (SWP) and focused on ways to promote the CTBT and its entry into force.
