Commemorative Liszt Koncert at the VIenna International Centre

On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Franz Liszt’s birthday, the Hungarian Permanent Mission to the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Vienna organized a memorial concert at the Vienna International Centre on 21 February 2011.

The musicians of Kelemen Quartet performed a selection of works from Franz Liszt (Angelus - Priére aux Anges gardiens) and Béla Bartók (String Quartet Nr. 5). Mr Yukiya Amano, Director General of the IAEA, Mr Tibor Tóth, Executive Secretary of the CTBTO Preparatory Commission, as well as a number of ambassadors of the Vienna diplomatic corps were present at the event.

An exhibition marking the Franz Liszt commemorative year will take place for one week in the Rotunda.
